Position Summary

The Manager of Fan System Testing & Estimation is responsible for overseeing all field-testing operations related to industrial fan systems and auxiliary equipment, including drone-based inspections. This role leads a team of analysts and technicians, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting for systems such as boilers, kilns, and steel mill draft systems. The Manager also oversees estimation, inspection planning, and supports the Upgrade Division with pricing and proposal development.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Fan System Test Analysts and field technicians.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and performance management for field testing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during all field operations.
Technical Oversight
  • Supervise and review field testing programs, ensuring accuracy in data collection and analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance on flow and pressure testing, particulate sampling, and drone operations.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment.
Project & Client Management
  • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Review and approve test plans, reports, and change orders.
Estimation & Planning
  • Oversee the development of cost estimates and inspection plans for new and existing projects.
  • Support the Upgrade Division with pricing strategies and proposal development.
  • Analyze historical project data to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
Training & Development
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and junior analysts.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and training materials.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelors degree or 3 years of experience in relevant field degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of field testing experience,
Certifications:
  • Valid driver’s license and passport; Commercial Drone License preferred or ability to obtain.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in flow and pressure testing equipment, MS Office Suite (especially Excel), and data analysis tools.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 300 feet.
  • Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, etc.).
  • Ability to Travel up to 70% of the time.
