Role Description The Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Livermore, CA. This role is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including inspections, repairs, and adjustments to keep tools operating within specified parameters. Daily tasks include diagnosing equipment issues, conducting troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and completing preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures. The technician will support equipment installation and startup, follow safety and cleanroom protocols, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed and parts used. Collaboration with engineers, operators, and vendors to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance is a key part of this position.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance for complex industrial or semiconductor tools.
• Experience with equipment installation, setup, and calibration in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis of mechanical and electronic systems.
• Fundamental understanding of electricity, including safe work practices around electrical systems and components.
• Relevant technical training or degree (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or similar) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment and occasionally support off-shift or weekend work as needed.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers.
