A growing company needs its HR files put in order. Years of hiring across multiple locations have produced offer letters with inconsistent titles, compensation structures that vary person to person, and no clear job levels. A Project Director sits alongside a senior and a junior with nothing distinguishing them.
This contractor pulls every offer letter, catalogs what is actually there, and summarizes it so the CHRO can build fair and consistent job families, levels, and total rewards packages. Then the contractor updates the records in ADP to reflect the new structure.
This is detailed, repetitive, high-volume work. It suits someone who is comfortable in spreadsheets and finds satisfaction in bringing order to something messy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Pull and review every offer letter across the organization and capture what each one says about title,
compensation structure, and terms.
• Build a clean master file in Excel documenting the current state, including titles in use, compensation
components, base and commission structures, and where the inconsistencies are.
• Identify variances and group roles into logical job families, for example where multiple people share a title with no
distinction in level or pay structure.
• Summarize findings for the CHRO in a form she can use to make decisions on leveling, job families, and total
rewards.
• Update employee records in ADP to reflect the corrected titles, levels, and structures once decisions are made.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality throughout. This work touches compensation data for the entire company.
WHO THIS FI TS
• Experience in HR operations, HR analysis, compensation analysis, or a comparable data-heavy administrative role.
• Strong Excel skills. You will live in spreadsheets on this engagement.
• Comfortable with repetitive, detail-intensive work over a sustained period.
• Able to spot inconsistencies in data and describe them clearly.
• Discretion with confidential compensation and employee information.
• ADP familiarity is helpful but not required. You will be trained on what you need.
• Exposure to job architecture, leveling, or compensation structure work is a plus, not a requirement.
WHAT SUCC ESS LOOKS LIKE
• Every offer letter is accounted for and the current state is documented in one place.
• The CHRO can see clearly where titles and pay structures diverge and make decisions from it.
• ADP records match the corrected structure.
• The organization has a defensible foundation for fair and equitable total rewards.
There is potential for this engagement to lead to an ongoing part-time or contract payroll role once the cleanup work is
complete.
