Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead to drive the design, configuration, and optimization of our core financial systems for a major client in New Jersey. A critical focus of this role will be partnering with our automation teams to integrate Automation Anywhere software bots. You will bridge the gap between traditional corporate accounting, SAP technical architecture, and Intelligent Automation—identifying and eliminating high-volume, manual financial workflows to build a highly optimized digital finance workforce.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP FICO Lead to drive the design, configuration, and optimization of our core financial systems for a major client in New Jersey. A critical focus of this role will be partnering with our automation teams to integrate Automation Anywhere software bots, specifically targeting the streamlining of FP&A data aggregation and reporting workflows. You will bridge the gap between corporate accounting, FP&A, SAP technical architecture, and Intelligent Automation to eliminate manual processes and build a highly optimized digital finance workforce
  • Lead the configuration and testing of SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Ledger) and CO (Cost Center, Profit Center, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis) modules
  • Partner with Automation Anywhere developers and business analysts to map, design, and deploy bots for repetitive financial processes (e.g., automated invoice matching, bank reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and master data updates)
  • Analyze existing accounting workflows to differentiate between processes requiring a native SAP solution versus those optimized via Automation Anywhere RPA
  • Oversee data mapping and seamless integration between SAP FICO, Automation Anywhere Control Rooms, and third-party finance platforms (e.g., Coupa, Concur, banking portals)
  • Act as the primary on-site technical lead in New Jersey, translating complex accounting requirements into clear functional specs for both SAP and RPA development teams
  • Maintain strict documentation for system configurations, process automated maps (PDDs), and ensure bot-driven transactions comply with internal financial controls (SOX) and security protocols.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration experience, with a proven track record leading end-to-end implementations or major system enhancements
  • Direct experience working alongside RPA teams, specifically defining business logic and exception-handling for Automation Anywhere bots interacting with SAP user interfaces or APIS
  • S/4HANA & Modern Tech Stack: Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance. Familiarity with modern data and analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) is a distinct advantage
  • Integration Expertise: Proven ability to connect SAP with legacy systems, middleware, and modern SaaS applications without disrupting day-to-day operations

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related fields.
