Position Details

Position: Residential HVAC Service Technician
Experience: 1–5 Years Required
Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule

• Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Paid workday lunch break

• Weekend and on-call rotation required

• Overtime opportunities available

What You'll Do

• Diagnose residential HVAC system issues quickly and accurately.

• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC equipment.

• Install residential HVAC systems and components when needed.

• Test and verify proper system operation after repairs.

• Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems.

• Read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service documentation.

• Clearly explain repair recommendations and replacement options to homeowners.

• Recommend indoor air quality products, accessories, and system upgrades that benefit the customer.

• Identify opportunities for complete system replacement when repairs are no longer cost-effective.

• Complete service tickets accurately and maintain detailed records.

• Keep your company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.

• Participate in rotating after-hours emergency service calls.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1–5 years of residential HVAC service experience (Required)

• EPA Certification (Required)

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Must be able to independently diagnose HVAC system issues and perform service and repairs without supervision.

• Strong electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC Trade School or Technical Certification

• NATE Certification

• Experience servicing:

  • Heat Pumps

  • Gas Furnaces

  • Air Conditioning Systems

  • Smart Thermostats

• Experience with preventative maintenance agreements
