Position Overview

Pro Plan Counseling Services is actively seeking dedicated and licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs) for a full-time remote position focused on addiction therapy. This critical role involves providing high-quality counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance misuse, offering them the tools and guidance needed to navigate their recovery journey effectively.

Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible work setting, operating entirely within a telehealth facility. Our remote model supports a healthy work-life balance, enabling counselors to provide care from the comfort of their homes while reaching clients across various geographic locations. Counselors work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, collaborating through digital tools to create a supportive and cohesive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, ensuring each individual receives personalized care tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with clients’ recovery goals, incorporating appropriate therapeutic interventions during sessions.
• Provide a range of counseling services, including individual, couples, and group therapy sessions, effectively using telehealth platforms to engage with clients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams consisting of medical professionals, social workers, and other counselors to promote integrated care and address all aspects of clients’ health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards to ensure the privacy and trust of those we serve.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development opportunities, staying abreast of current methodologies and emerging trends in mental health and addiction therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors will work primarily with individuals suffering from addiction and related mental health issues. We provide crisis intervention, emotional crisis management, trauma recovery support, and suicide prevention services. The ideal candidate will exhibit cultural sensitivity, adapt therapy approaches to diverse backgrounds, and foster a judgment-free space empowering clients to engage openly in their healing process.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in the mental health field is required.
• Active and independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in New York.

Preferred Experience

While not required, previous experience in substance misuse counseling, trauma-informed care, or crisis intervention will be highly advantageous. Familiarity with telehealth technology and best practices will also enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Pro Plan Counseling Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires will be eligible for a sign-on bonus. We provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
