Job Description
Pro Action's Head Start Program is accepting applications forSupport Staff at our Cooktown, NY location.
- Supervise and interact with children during planned classroom activities such as indoor/outdoor play, large or small group instruction, circle time, mealtime, and cleanup, etc.
- Make ongoing observations of children's development and maintain anecdotal records.
- Assist in advancing physical and intellectual competence.
- Assist in supporting social and emotional development and providing positive guidance
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and learning environment.
Ideal skills
- Basic organizational and basic math skills.
- Communication and language skills to comprehend documents and other correspondence.
- Basic computer skills with the basic knowledge of Excel Microsoft Office and other office equipment such as copier, scanner, and fax machines.
- Ability to interact with customers from variety of backgrounds
- Capability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form.
