Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Catalyst team in Savannah, GA. Come create chemistry with us! BASF's Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The primary function of this job is to ensure proper maintenance within the facility and to ensure timely production of high-quality products in a cost-efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible manner. The job requires technical and problem-solving skills. Work activities include the repair and maintenance of the facility and its equipment.

During your shift as a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and facilities in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.
• Work independently, when necessary, to complete maintenance tasks while following written instructions.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, cutting and burning equipment, welding equipment, and material handling equipment proficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Adhere to all applicable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
• Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all required safety safeguards are properly used.
• Notify the supervisor before undertaking any work activity for which you are not adequately trained.
• Promptly report any unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor and take immediate interim steps to protect yourself and others from serious risks.
• Recognize that safety and environmental responsibility are key aspects of BASF's principles, and promptly report all unsafe conditions and incidents to the appropriate manager to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

If you possess a High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma. A Technical Degree is preferred. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance. Demonstrate proficiency in precision maintenance on rotating manufacturing equipment. Have experience working with SAP. Are skilled in operating equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
