DEPARTMENT: County Administration DIVISION: Records Management SALARY: $55,941 – $75,040 SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., full-time LOCATION: Trenton, NJ POSITION(S) AVAILABLE: 1 POSITIONOVERVIEW:

Under thesupervision of the Records Manager, the Records Analyst 3 plays an essentialrole in implementing, evaluating, and improving Mercer County's recordsmanagement program. This position works collaboratively with Records Managementstaff and County departments to identify and address records-related needs andsupport effective records management practices County-wide.

The idealcandidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, andcustomer-service focused, with an interest in learning and applying new skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

NOTE: Applicants must meet one of thefollowing or a combination of education and experience. Thirty (30)semester-hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.

Five (5)years of professional experience involving the review, analysis, and evaluationof records management systems and administrative practices, includingrecommending improved methods in a business, government agency, archives, orrelated setting.

OR

Possessionof a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1)year of the above-mentioned professional experience.

OR

Possessionof a master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Libraryand Information Science, or a related field from an accredited college oruniversity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with implementing,evaluating, and improving the County's records management program.
• Promote proper procedures forhandling, maintaining, storing, and preserving County records.
• Assist in developingpreservation practices for physical and electronic records and data.
• Support disaster preparedness,records recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Assist in developing anddelivering records management training for County employees.
• Facilitate public access torecords as authorized by Mercer County Administration.
• Maintain productiverelationships with County departments, stakeholders, and serviceproviders.
• Stay current on recordsmanagement standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Perform other related dutiesas assigned.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of recordsmanagement principles, practices, and electronic records systems.
• Strong organizational,analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.
• Ability to manage multipleassignments, priorities, and deadlines.
• Ability to interpret and applyrecords management rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to identifyrecords-related needs and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to work independentlyand collaboratively with County departments and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365and ability to learn records and information management systems.
• Knowledge or experience inarchival preservation and training development is a plus.
