PrimECS, LLC is seeking a dedicated General Foreman/Operator with extensive experience in Heavy Civil Construction to join our MD, DC and VA based team. Responsibilities
- Coordinate tasks and assign responsibilities based on project priorities and schedules.
- Produce crew schedules and monitor daily attendance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor workers and tradespeople to achieve top performance.
- Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, and materials are available for project needs.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality standards across all operations.
- Oversee the proper use of heavy machinery and equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed to support field activities.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with budgets.
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems that may impact progress.
- Provide regular updates and reports to managers, engineers, and project leads.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a heavy civil construction foreman.
- Expertise in grading and pipe installation.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Aptitude in math with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Physically fit with the stamina required for demanding fieldwork.
