Company Description Prey Boxing is a community-focused boxing studio dedicated to helping individuals improve fitness, confidence, and overall well-being through structured boxing and conditioning programs. The studio offers classes for a range of experience levels, from beginners to advanced, in a supportive and safety-conscious environment. Prey Boxing emphasizes proper technique, discipline, and respect while creating a motivating atmosphere for group and individual training. Role Description The Boxing Instructor at Prey Boxing is a part-time, on-site role based in Oak Harbor, WA. The instructor leads engaging boxing classes, demonstrating proper techniques, warm-ups, and conditioning drills for individuals and groups. Daily responsibilities include planning class routines, correcting form, ensuring participant safety, and providing clear, encouraging instruction. The Boxing Instructor also helps new members understand class formats, supports them in setting goals, and contributes to maintaining a clean, organized training environment. Collaboration with other staff to improve programming and member experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Boxing skills, with the ability to demonstrate safe and effective techniques.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Group Exercise instruction, including leading classes and managing varied fitness levels.
  • Candidates should possess clear and respectful Communication skills to guide, motivate, and provide feedback to participants.
  • Candidates should possess Training and coaching abilities, including planning workouts and progressing clients over time.
  • CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
  • Experience in fitness, martial arts, or athletic coaching is beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
