Position Summary:
Premier Placements is seeking a Safety Manager who leads the Safety Department, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations. This role is responsible for developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs that align with the company’s strategic goals. The Safety Manager also plays a key role in shaping long- and short-term business objectives related to workplace health and safety.

- Salary – $95,000 - $108,000 - Yearly Bonus Incentive
- Location – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage workplace health and safety programs in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and enforce policies to promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor compliance through regular inspections of employees, operations, equipment, and facilities.
- Evaluate risks, identify hazards, and recommend preventive measures to reduce incidents.
- Prepare reports on safety performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead safety training sessions, workshops, and incident prevention initiatives.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage workers' compensation claims through resolution.
- Advise management on regulatory changes and best practices in occupational health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of safety principles, laws, and best practices.
- Ability to assess complex safety issues and offer practical, effective solutions.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—across all organizational levels.
- Skilled in developing reports, conducting audits, and leading investigations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive safety management experience may substitute for a degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE)
