Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing customized treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional independence.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques while ensuring safety and effectiveness in their routines.
  • Educate patients about body mechanics and proper exercise procedures, supporting them with home exercise programs for continued recovery.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and cold/hot therapy.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional capacity.
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are sanitized and organized for efficient therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate within a team of rehabilitation professionals, providing insights and recommendations to optimize patient care.
  • Offer encouragement and emotional support to patients during their rehabilitation, fostering a motivational and supportive environment.
  • Maintain high ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for their rights and needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various physical challenges. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Proficient in executing therapy modalities and exercises under supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.
