Job Title: 911 Dispatcher / Public Safety Telecommunications Officer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time | Rotational Shifts
Job Summary:
Handle emergency and non-emergency calls, assess situations, and dispatch police, fire, EMS, or security teams. Requires quick thinking, clear communication, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage 911 & non-emergency calls
- Dispatch appropriate emergency/safety personnel
- Use CAD systems and communication tools
- Monitor multiple channels and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with field teams in real-time
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Good typing & computer skills
- Strong communication and multitasking ability
- Calm under pressure
- Flexible for night/weekend shifts
- Background check & drug test required
