Job description

Industrial Spray Painter / Metal Finishing Technician

Company: Precision Medical Equipment
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Pay: $22–$24 per hour to start, with opportunities for advancement based on performance.

About the Position

Precision Medical Equipment is seeking a skilled Industrial Spray Painter / Metal Finishing Technician to join our medical equipment refurbishment team. In this role, you will restore high-end medical equipment—including surgical tables, exam chairs, procedure tables, surgical lights, and other healthcare equipment—to like-new condition.

This is not a residential or commercial painting position. We are looking for someone with experience in industrial, automotive, aerospace, cabinet, or equipment refinishing who takes pride in producing exceptional, factory-quality finishes.

Medical equipment experience is not required. If you have the right skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, we'll provide the training you need to succeed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare medical equipment for refinishing by cleaning, disassembling, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
  • Apply high-quality finishes using HVLP spray equipment and professional paint systems.
  • Sand, buff, and polish stainless steel components to restore brushed or mirror finishes.
  • Remove scratches, oxidation, and surface imperfections from stainless steel.
  • Perform final buffing and detailing to achieve a premium appearance.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets Precision Medical Equipment's quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow OSHA safety procedures and proper handling of paints, solvents, and polishing compounds.
  • Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and final quality inspections.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial, automotive, cabinet, aerospace, or equipment spray painting and refinishing.
  • Experience using HVLP spray equipment is preferred.
  • Experience sanding and polishing stainless steel or other metal surfaces is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Why Join Precision Medical Equipment?

  • $22–$24 per hour to start, with opportunities for advancement based on performance.
  • Paid, hands-on training in medical equipment refurbishment.
  • Full-time position with a Monday through Friday work schedule.
  • Stable employment with a growing company.
  • Clean, climate-controlled work environment.
  • Opportunities to learn specialized skills in a unique industry.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off.
  • Health insurance and retirement benefits (if applicable).
