Job Location: Newton, KS 67114 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Employment Type: Full-Time

Are you a dynamic, passionate clinician who loves working with kids, teens, and families? Do you thrive in a supportive, collaborative, and-dare we say-fun team environment?

At Prairie View, we believe that helping youth heal requires a village. We are looking for a well-rounded Outpatient Clinician to join our dedicated Youth and Family Services team. In this role, you won't be on an island; you’ll work side-by-side with a collaborative team of clinicians and dedicated case managers to provide holistic, life-changing care.

If you are ready to bring your clinical skills to a team that laughs together, supports one another, and makes a real difference in our community, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do (The Impact)
  • Relationship-Focused Therapy: Utilize family systems and relation-type therapies to help youth and their support systems heal and grow together.
  • Collaborative Care: Partner closely with internal case managers and external community resources to ensure wraparound support for your clients.
  • Comprehensive Clinical Services: Conduct assessments, make diagnoses, and design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for individual, family, and occasional group therapy sessions.
  • Outreach & Education: Share your expertise by delivering occasional educational presentations on youth mental health topics to internal teams and the community.
  • Clinical Experience: Practicum, internship, or professional experience in outpatient youth and family behavioral health. Comfort with individual and family systems therapy is highly preferred.
  • The Right Fit: Excellent communication skills, clinical intuition, and a collaborative spirit. You should be highly skilled at assessing verbal and non-verbal cues in young clients.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfort navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic computer systems.
  • Clearances: Ability to obtain clinical privileges and pass required background screenings (including KBI, Central Registry, and DCF).

We believe in transparency. To keep our agency running smoothly and serving our community effectively, our clinicians meet the following standards:

  • Productivity: Maintain an average of 24-27 client encounters per week (based on a 40-hour workweek).
  • Documentation: Progress notes and evaluations must be completed within 48 business hours to maintain compliance and clinical excellence.
  • Growth: Participate actively in Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, administrative meetings, and clinical supervision.
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • A supportive, fun, and highly collaborative team culture.
  • Clinical supervision provided for those working toward independent licensure.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education (CEUs).
  • The chance to make a lasting, positive footprint on the youth and families in our community.

Prairie View, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

QualificationsWhat We Are Looking For
  • Licensure: Active professional licensure in the State of Kansas is required.
  • Independent clinical license preferred: LSCSW, LCMFT, LPC, PsyD, or PhD.
  • Under clinical supervision: Candidates with an LMSW, LMFT, or LMLP who are actively working toward independent clinical licensure are highly encouraged to apply!
