Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychological assessments to understand clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Providing tailored individual therapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Setting and monitoring therapeutic goals, ensuring that clients stay on track with their personal growth journey.
• Offering teletherapy sessions to ensure accessibility for clients who may face transportation or mobility challenges.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, adhering to ethical standards and best practices in mental health care.
• Participating in regular professional development activities to stay informed about advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Prairie Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients who may experience various challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients.
• An empathetic and non-judgmental attitude combined with excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks within a busy schedule.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in delivering teletherapy or virtual counseling.
• Familiarity with mental health documentation software and electronic health record systems.
• A background in working with specific client populations, such as children, adolescents, or trauma survivors.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additional benefits include:
