    Job description

We do this by providing the right equipment for the right application, setting it up to maximize both comfort and efficiency, making sure everything is operating the way it's supposed to, and servicing all major HVAC equipment and controls.     Our Mechanical Service Plumbers are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, control systems, welding, and plumbing. As a Powers technician you are also responsible for excellent customer service.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of plumbing systems.
    • Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to plumbed systems.
    • Disassemble and reassemble plumbing equipment to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
    • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service to the equipment and/or mechanical system.
    • Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves plumbing emergencies.
    • Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes.
    • Maintain maintenance records.
    • Order and maintain parts as needed to repair and maintain equipment.
    • Manage relationships with all vendor accounts.
    • Properly maintain and safeguard Powers assets.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Able to organize work and meet deadlines.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
    • Able to read blueprints and schematics.
    • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron and copper.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Understands and has mastered all types of plumbing systems and how each component within the system operates in conjunction with the other components and how that impacts the overall operations of the system as a whole.
    • Knowledge of Windows operating systems.

    Qualifications

    • Arkansas State Journeyman Plumbing License required.
    • 3-10 years of experience as a commercial Plumber.

    Physical Demands

    • Able to lift and carry 10-50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, may experience prolonged and irregular hours, and work with frequent interruptions.
    • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening and have a clean driving record.

    This is a Safety Sensitive position.
