Work Environment

The rehabilitation facility is an onsite environment that fosters collaboration and interaction among healthcare professionals. As a Licensed Physical Therapist at Positive Change Therapy, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, which may include occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical staff, to address the comprehensive needs of each patient. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific impairments, limitations, and functional goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to implement physical therapy interventions, focusing on pain relief, restoration of mobility, and prevention of disability.
  • Document all treatment sessions and evaluations accurately within our electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with billing and regulatory standards.
  • Perform screenings for conditions like lymphedema and fall risks to identify patients needing immediate physical therapy intervention.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to discuss patient progress, adapt treatment plans as necessary, and improve overall patient outcomes.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including presentations, publications, and clinical education efforts, contributing to departmental knowledge and growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse patient demographic that may include individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain, and patients with neurological impairments or developmental disabilities. You will have the opportunity to provide care to both inpatient and outpatient populations, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida PT License and eligibility to practice in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy and physiology, complemented by proficiency in therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, addressing their developmental needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Readiness to navigate both clinical and acute care hospital environments with confidence.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting, providing comprehensive care to diverse patient populations.
  • Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and interdisciplinary collaboration is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting salary of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
