Job description

Area Marketing Manager

Position overview

Responsible for managing all dealer and regional marketing activities within Area South/Central. Assist in creating, tracking and implementing dealer advertising, marketing, customer retention and event activities as related to the Porsche Dealer Marketing Services (PDMS) program to increase brand awareness and strength. Responsible for managing all area marketing activities, including but not limited to Sponsorships, Regional Media, Support of National Advertising programs, and Support of PAG initiatives within the Area. Support the growth of the Porsche business within the Area, utilizing the Area Marketing budget to design and implement programs that increase our share of voice and drive traffic into the dealer's showroom. Responsible for working with the dealerships to follow up and monitor every customer/prospect interaction for both Sales and After Sales.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Develop local dealer event concepts for PDMS in coordination with dealer marketing agency and within Porsche Corporate Identity (CI) guidelines in coordination with the Area Digital Manager.
  • Support Area Team (Area Vice President, Regional Manager, AfterSales Manager, PDMS Representatives) by providing analysis of dealer marketing needs. Utilize the PDMS program to support these activities.
  • Oversee the development, production and implementation of marketing strategies associated with the company's brand awareness within the Area. Analyze and compile competitive marketing data to provide optimal market positioning within the area. Utilize the Area Marketing Budget to Implement these responsibilities
  • Provide PDMS Representatives with proper guidance for improved marketing activities within their Region/Area. Conduct periodic evaluations of projects, campaigns and activities to develop market assessments, help build and maintain corporate/dealership relationships, and increase sales.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation and continuance of the PDMS program; as a result contributing to the attainment and subsequent growth of PCNA's sales objectives and proper brand representation.
  • Lead and participate in the development of strategic direction and program implementation of key customer retention marketing solutions with cross-functional teams within PCA, PAG and external vendors.
  • Develop and Implement follow up plans for all dealership leads provided from National, Regional and individual dealers Events and Advertising through the CRM system C@P.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and execution of the following programs: Christophorus magazine, PACE, Porsche Service Clinics, Area Auto Shows, Aftersales Marketing, CPO Marketing and National Marketing efforts to support corporate sales objectives.
  • Support Area Team in the creation, implementation and attendance of special events, promotions and meetings to promote the PDMS program.
  • Compile and maintain dealer marketing event calendar in collaboration with Area Teams to ensure sustained marketing opportunities within the Area.
  • Compile and report on all Area and Dealer Marketing activities on a monthly basis in order to provide PAG and PCNA with the data required regarding our test drive and lead generation objectives
  • Ensure the adherence of CI guidelines in all dealer marketing materials and communications.
  • Coordinate PCA (Porsche Club of America) and Porsche Owners club activities within the Area along with PDMS Representatives and the PAG Porsche Clubs Representative.
  • Responsible for overall Area Marketing Budget Management including the procurement process, the reconciliation process, the Accounting process and the follow up process with suppliers for confirmation of payment.
  • Responsible for the attainment of PCNA's test drive and lead generation goals as set by PCNA management
  • Responsible for the proper usage of, awareness of, and compliance with Information Technology security policies at Porsche Cars North America
  • Seeks to ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrates an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic formats.
  • Responsible for compiling month end marketing report including multiple KPI metrics and dealer marketing/advertising expenses
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • College degree in Business or Marketing, or the equivalent education and experience

Experience:

  • 5 years experience in automotive advertising and marketing, luxury market preferred.
  • 5 years experience working directly with luxury automotive dealership.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and record keeping skills
  • Organized, highly detailed with the ability to multi-task
  • Advertising, merchandising and/sales writing experience preferred
  • Understanding of automotive distribution and dealership operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Lotus Notes
  • Must be willing and able to travel 80% including overnight and trips lasting 5 days or more

Competencies:

Percentage of required travel: 80%

Schedule/Shift:

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$135,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

  • This job operates in an automotive dealership and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position will also have frequent work in an automotive dealership facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, move, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
