Position Overview:

Pono Security is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officer to provide security services at Haiku Market in Haiku, Maui. The Security Officer will maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, tenants, employees, and visitors while helping protect property and assets through proactive patrols and professional security presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the market and surrounding property.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and safety hazards.
• Provide a visible and professional security presence.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Assist customers, vendors, and tenants as needed.
• Enforce property rules, policies, and safety procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Coordinate with management, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and excellent customer service standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
