Summary:
The IT Technician role is responsible for assisting the technology department in the investigation, analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of software and hardware related issues for both, systems, and end users. In addition to technical skills, this position must demonstrate a high level of initiative and provide exceptional service experience.

Education/Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school. A minimum of one year experience in an IT related role.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet. Knowledgeable of operating characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and service. requirements of desktop computers, laptops, peripheral equipment, and network operating systems.
Certificates and Licenses:
A+ Certification preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The IT Technician role is responsible for assisting the technology department in the investigation, analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of software and hardware related issues for both, systems, and end users. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs administrative functions on the Club's local area network, including user access, file management, resource sharing and system security.
- Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, email and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
- Setup user accounts and e-mail.
- Ensure all restaurant, kitchen, and retail technology such as Point of Sale, Receipt printers, etc. are running optimally.
- Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to IT Manager or Director of IT.
- Installs Polo Club authorized desktop or laptop computers, software, phones, and peripheral equipment.
- Assists with set-up of meetings and Club events according to the BEO ensuring that all required equipment such as computers, projectors, screens and audio/visual items are properly placed.
- Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Polo Club.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Director of IT/AV.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable of operating characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and service requirements of desktop computers, laptops, peripheral equipment, and network operating systems.
- Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members.
- Must be able to work a flexible/on-call schedule as the business needs dictate including nights and weekends.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, support requests, and event-related technology needs while meeting deadlines and maintaining excellent customer service.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience on installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge of Hardware installation and configuration.
