Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions designed to identify issues, foster solutions, and maintain client confidentiality and safety.
  • Conduct treatment programs aimed at managing symptoms associated with mental health disorders, trauma, and dual diagnoses.
  • Leverage our cloud-based EHR system to document client progress, manage treatment plans, and maintain up-to-date records ensuring compliance with insurance mandates.
  • Utilize a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to conduct virtual sessions, providing clients with accessible and convenient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share insights and strategies that enhance client care and outcomes.
  • Participate in regular supervision and consultation sessions to continuously enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Polara Behavioral Health, you will serve a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clients often deal with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges, making it vital for you to adapt your counseling techniques to meet their unique needs. Your interventions will play a crucial role in empowering these individuals to develop coping strategies and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Must hold an active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Pennsylvania.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in mental health counseling is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • A reliable laptop or desktop computer, along with dependable internet access and a web camera, is essential for conducting virtual sessions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings, to accommodate client schedules.
  • A completed background check is required.
Preferred Experience

Experience providing telehealth services, familiarity with EHR systems, and training in specific therapeutic modalities (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or Trauma-Informed Care) are highly valued. Compensation and Benefits
