Job description

Traveling Physical Therapist Opportunity

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join our traveling Physical Therapist team in Knightdale, NC at a skilled nursing facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active North Carolina Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or post-acute settings preferred.
  • Clinical experience with geriatrics, balance training, transfers, and ADL-focused rehabilitation preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior travel therapy experience is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Advanced training or certifications in vestibular rehab, Manual Therapy, or fall prevention are a plus.
Assignment Details
  • Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
  • Work Pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide skilled, evidence-based physical therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing environment. Treat patients with complex medical needs, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and document progress according to facility and regulatory standards. Maintain clinical competencies and contribute to discharge planning and restorative programs.
