Title: Project Analyst

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Philadelphia, PA 19113

The primary purpose of the job is to:

  • To manage the planning, design, testing and implementation of complex large scale projects from inception to conclusion.
  • The Project Analyst Senior implements organizational projects and new business implementations by defining, executing and validating requirements based on State, Federal and contractual regulations.
  • The Senior Project Analyst will provide assistance and guidance to the Project Analysts requiring excellent organizational, informal and formal leadership, and mentoring skills while possessing the ability to lead others by example to achieve overall departmental/organizational goals.
  • Operates with significant independence and minimal supervision as the principal project representative.
  • This individual must utilize independent judgment to anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, and/or opportunities for change through change management.
  • This role is responsible for identifying and analyzing financial, contractual and operational impact to a project's scope through execution of risk management. This person will use knowledge of pharmacy benefit management to be pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk to the organization and client.

The Project Analyst Senior shall of a strong understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools:

Initiate

Prepare: definition/scope/requirements

Execute & Control: scope, work plans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.

Close: completion and assessment

This individual will be the point of escalation for all issues related to the project at hand.

Requirements:

  • High School/GED -Required
  • CPhT certification preferred - Desired
  • One to three years PBM, Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Compliance experience - Required 3Years
  • Progressive and focused work experience in continuous improvement initiatives, project management, and/or organizational development - Required

Other important duties include:

  • Leads planning, testing and implementation of projects.
  • Facilitates the definition of service levels and customer requirements. Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery and contractual requirements.
  • Creates standardized project materials based on Best Practices for baseline documentation for implementations
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive project plan utilizing PMI methodology for Part D, Commercial, Medicare, Workers Compensation and Medicaid New Business Implementations and other projects based upon contractual and State, Federal regulations.
  • Ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committee and all levels of management and documented appropriately.
  • Creates work standards and documentations for a project; establishes and defines roles and responsibilities, specific outcomes, and clear measures for quality and success of the team. Follows through with fair and consistent consequences for both achieving and not achieving results.
  • Controls and implements a process of change in requirements when needed, document ant track issues, monitor assumptions and make decisions in a timely manner, understand and use problem solving techniques.
  • Identifies opportunities for business process improvements within project scope.
  • Performs risk management to strategize and execute mitigation plans to minimize project failure and financial and compliance impact.
  • Oversees and ensures timely resolution of customer issues during the implementation and stabilization of the project; escalates to Manager as necessary
  • Advocates on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Participate in the design and/or testing phases.
  • Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management, customers and/or functional business owners.
  • Create and present project kick off materials to large groups for projects.
  • Manages multiple projects and oversees Project Analyst to ensure successful completion and coordination of all efforts
  • Creates within the project team a shared focus on the importance of achieving results. Leads all client and subject matter conference calls and interactions to ensure all agreed upon deliverables met expectations.
  • Prioritizes customer requests as appropriate
  • Submits recommendations to Manager of New Business and Special Projects Perform Rx process improvement plans when necessary and executes upon approval.
  • Supports the Manager of New Business and Special Projects with day to day responsibilities
  • Understand IPNS (claims processing system) from a high-level.
  • Employ various account relationship techniques to assist in appropriately implementing the benefit
  • Support the manager by assisting other team members as a mentor to work independently in a supervised team environment
