    ABOUT THE POSITION

At Playworks Michigan, we are focused on delivering high-quality, consistent programming that supports students and the adults who serve them every day. We are seeking a motivated team member to support program delivery, coach school staff, and help create engaging play environments across partner sites. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work. This role is responsible for executing Playworks' program model with consistency and quality across assigned partner schools, under the leadership of the Associate Program Director.

As the Site Coordinator, you will support implementation of Playworks programming through coaching, modeling, and collaboration with school staff. You will work directly with school administration, teachers, and recess teams to apply Playworks strategies and systems that support a positive and engaging play environment.

    CORE FOCUS OF THE ROLE
    • Implement and support the delivery of Playworks' consultative, play-based program model across 2-4 assigned partner schools
    • Deliver coaching, modeling, and consultation to school personnel aligned with Playworks practices
    • Ensure consistent implementation of program components aligned to regional expectations and standards
    • Support school staff in applying Playworks strategies across settings
    • Contribute to a strong, consistent partner experience through reliable program delivery and responsive school-partnership support.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Coordinate with school administration, educators, and recess teams to schedule program delivery
    • Deliver on-site coaching, consultation, and modeling to school personnel
    • Support implementation of core program components, including recess, student leadership (Junior Coach program), and instructional classes (Class Game Time)
    • Provide school personnel with feedback, action steps, and resources aligned to Playworks practices
    • Maintain consistent communication with school leadership regarding program implementation and support needs
    • Maintain accurate and timely program documentation, schedules, and reporting
    • Track and organize program data, notes, and communication
    • Provide regular internal updates on program implementation and school priorities
    • Represent Playworks in a professional manner across all partner interactions
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE:
    • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality program implementation across multiple school sites
    • Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic environment
    • Ability to follow established systems and expectations while maintaining consistency
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both youth and adults
    • Comfort working independently with a high level of accountability
    • Adaptability and problem-solving in a fast-paced, school-based environment
    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
    • At least 2 years of experience working directly with youth in school or youth development settings
    • Experience working collaboratively with adults and supporting training or coaching
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to facilitate small and large group interactions
    • Experience building professional relationships with school communities
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace and standard digital tools
    • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally
    LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Location Requirement:
This position must be based in Southeast Michigan and requires consistent in-person engagement with school and community partners.

    Travel Requirement:
This role requires regular local travel between assigned partner schools. School assignments are typically consistent, though adjustments may occur based on regional needs.

    Reliable transportation is required.
