Job description
Salary: $18 - $21 per hour
Platinum Providers Group is looking for a Medical Assistant (Front & Back Office)
This position is full-time working 40 hours per week and the schedule is 10:30am to 6:30pm.
Clinical Duties
- Take patient vitals (including manual blood pressure)
- Administer immunizations
- Perform finger sticks and in-office lab tests/swabs (COVID, strep, flu, mono, lead, etc.)
- Assist physicians with clinical tasks as needed
- Keep accurate records
Front Desk Duties
- Greet patients and families in a welcoming and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Call patients to schedule appointments for needed services
- Verify insurance and obtain referrals
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances
- Complete paperwork and handle scanning, faxing, and filing
- Process medication prior authorizations and medical record requests
- Provide strong telephone support and follow-up with patients
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification
- 1 year of medical office experience
- Proficient in EMR systems
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Bilingual candidate preferred
