PLANNED PARENTHOOD GREAT RIVERS 
 
JOB TITLE: Health Center Assistant
LOCATION: Springfield, MO
SUPERVISOR: Health Center Supervisor
FLSA: Full-time, Benefits eligible
 
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
$17.25-$18.70/HR 
 
Must have or obtain the Flu, COVID Vaccines and Booster!
 
Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR) offers a robust benefits package. 
Employer Paid:
Healthcare: Employee pays approximately $25 per pay period
Vision: Employee pays approximately $4 per pay period
Dental: Employee pays approximately $5 per pay period
Life Insurance: Up to $100,000

POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare at Planned Parenthood Great Rivers. This role requires a combination of skill and flexibility, as well as a willingness to work as a collaborative and inclusive member of a team. This role requires a compassionate individual with demonstrated communication skills and clinical proficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
       High School Diploma
       Experience in customer service or health care preferred
       MA Certification preferred, Phlebotomy a plus
       Experience with Epic
 
SCHEDULE:
       Monday - Saturday; 40 hours a week, 8-hour shifts
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
       Consistently demonstrate appropriate service behaviors in interactions with patients and colleagues and practices In this Together and Service Standard values
       Actively contribute to an inclusive workplace culture by working collaboratively as a valued member of the care team
     Proactively work to resolve conflict and perform service recovery, as needed
     Administrative duties include answering phones, making appointments, taking messages, transferring records for patients, and ensuring completion of health center records and required forms
       Perform patient medical and social history intakes and provide education as indicated for the services patients are seeking as directed by supervisor/clinician on duty
       Complete basic lab work and follow procedures as required
       Provide patients with non-judgmental pregnancy options counseling and make referrals for service based on the patient's choice
       Assist licensed medical staff with the delivery of reproductive care as needed
       Perform all recordkeeping duties related to patient care with accuracy
       Perform housekeeping and stocking duties as needed
       Complete HIPAA and OSHA training and other training as required
       Travel to other health centers within the affiliate as needed
