Job description
French wine distributor seeks a Sale Specialist for the Los Angeles/Palm Springs Area .
Planet Wine LA, Inc is seeking an exceptional individual to join our highly efficient sales team who will be a cultural fit with our work ethic and exceedingly high standards, the type of person who takes great pride in their work. This position will require a person with a skill set that encompasses organization, communication, drive and an intimate knowledge of the wines and spirits across our portfolio which are primarily French.
Responsibilities:
- Service existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Network and build trusting relationships with existing and potential customers
- Be a knowledgeable resource and representative of the Planet Wine LA portfolio and products
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and provide reports and feedback as requested
- Coordinate and host events and tastings
Qualifications:
- 3 years professional sales experience in the wine industry
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in the areas of Sales, Business Development, Wine and Spirits
- WSET a plus!
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
- Comprehension of European metric systems and wine making process
- Strong knowledge of wine regions in France - Champagne region a Plus!
- Comfortable with pitching wine in front of a group of professionals
- Willing to work irregular hours and independently
- Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and target driven
