Job description

Job Summary:
PlanIT Group, LLC is a company seeking a Lead Manual and Automation Tester and Scrum Master. The role involves performing test execution, providing ad hoc testing support, and overseeing Agile ceremonies while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• As Test Lead, will perform test execution and provide ad hoc testing support throughout all SDLC phases, create/execute test scenarios, work with development team for defect resolution as necessary, and demonstrate user stories and functionality to client.
• Perform verification of test conditions using backend systems, including running SQL queries, and checking service responses using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools.
• As Scrum Master, will provide direction to the development and testing team members, conduct Agile Ceremonies, oversee work and release management.
• Successful candidates will ensure quality, meeting the specified expectations, reducing the risk or errors and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A minimum of eight (8) years experience in software development, software quality assurance/control, and/or related field
• Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program
• Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with formal software testing for complex software applications
• Extensive experience testing software applications, identifying/documenting defects, and working with developers and end users to resolve defects
• Extensive experience with multiple defect tracking tools (e.g. Rational, Mercury)
• Extensive experience authoring software-quality-related documentation such as requirements specifications, test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports
• Able to obtain Public Trust Clearance
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members)
Preferred:
• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications: DevSecOps, SCRUM Master, VersionOne, Postman, SoapUI, AML, UFT, Secure Coding practices, Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices, PLSQL
