Plan Academy is seeking a top-tier Senior Project Scheduler — someone in the top 3% of Primavera P6 professionals — to support a mission-critical manufacturing project for a major U.S. client. This remote contract role demands technical excellence, schedule compliance expertise, and deep experience with resource- and cost-loaded scheduling.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project execution schedules using Primavera P6 Professional
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and key stakeholders to gather input and align on schedule updates.
  • Be familiar with, and know how to adhere to common project scheduling specifications, including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards
  • Perform earned value analysis and provide accurate performance forecasting in Primavera P6
  • Create high-level yet detailed project schedules from a cost or material estimates for projects in feasilbility stage
  • Analyze project timelines and identify opportunities for improvement or risk mitigation.
  • Track progress, update forecasts, and report on schedule performance.
  • Ensure schedules reflect resource availability and evolving project priorities.
  • Present clear schedule status updates and reports to stakeholders on a regular basis.

  • Be excited to work in a dynamic project environment on large scale manufacturing projects


What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience on large, complex industrial or manufacturing projects, especially
  • Developing schedules from scratch through analyzing contracts & documents and by interviewing key SMEs on the project
  • Demonstrated mastery of Primavera P6 — not just usage, but deep understanding of relationships, risks, calendars, constraints, and critical path mechanics
  • Proven ability to manage schedules that are fully resource- and cost-loaded
  • Hands-on experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) in P6
  • Familiarity with adhering to schedule specs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to drive scheduling conversations across all levels of a project team
  • Ability to work independently and lead scheduling in a remote environment


Contract Details:

  • Onsite work in Pheonix, AZ
  • 40 hours/week
  • Monthly travel expenses reimbursed by the client
  • Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with top-tier expertise)
  • Starting date is flexible with client requirements
