LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Plainview Healthcare Center in Plainview, Texas. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting, working closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients and ensure accurate dosing

• Provide basic nursing care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Record and report vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

• Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care and tracheostomy care

• Provide emotional support to patients and their families

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care

• Follow safety protocols to prevent the spread of infection and ensure a safe environment

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma from an accredited nursing program

• 1+ years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or equivalent

• Current LPN/LVN license in the state of Texas

• BLS Certification (preferred)

• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and priorities tasks accordingly

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
