Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (OB/GYN)

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive women’s healthcare services, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological care.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • Active and unrestricted California Medical License.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare services to women throughout all stages of life. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient care, manage pregnancies and deliveries, diagnose and treat gynecological conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to female patients.
  • Monitor and manage patients during prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and postnatal periods.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions affecting women’s health.
  • Perform examinations, diagnostic testing, procedures, and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
  • Deliver babies while ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and infant.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, charting, and documentation.
  • Coordinate patient care with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and clinical program enhancements.
  • Adhere to all clinical, ethical, regulatory, state, and federal healthcare guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director regarding patient care and treatment plans.
  • Support patient-centered medical home initiatives and community-based healthcare programs.
  • Assist with compliance audits and quality assurance activities.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for medical students, nurse practitioner students, and physician assistant students.
  • Participate in daily team huddles, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary care discussions.
  • Support nursing staff and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Rotate among clinic locations as needed to support patient care needs.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Occasional weekends as needed
  • On-call rotation approximately 5 to 6 days per month
