Why Pinion?

Pinion is the nation's leading food and ag consulting and accounting firm, helping clients and communities thrive through bold thinking and innovation. We foster a collaborative, growth-oriented, and joy-filled culture where professionals are empowered to make a meaningful impact.

Pinion interns are talented students beginning their journey of discovery in a multi-service consulting firm. You will gain invaluable business exposure, applying your education to real-world scenarios. This is a paid position, where you’ll get to work with staff and leaders from all levels as you have impact right away. Interns are considered for future employment opportunities upon successful completion of the internship.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation, audits, general accounting, and special projects.
  • Apply academic knowledge to real client work while managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Participate in client meetings and collaborate with professionals across multiple levels of the firm.
  • Utilize technology and data tools to deliver accurate, efficient results.
  • Build lasting relationships with fellow interns, mentors, and firm leaders.

What you’ll need for this position:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Accounting (or related field) or enrolled in an Accounting certificate program.
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
  • Hours: Available to work 24 hours per week (part-time) or 40 hours per week (full-time).
  • Location: Fully in the office.
  • Employment Eligibility: This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Bonus:

  • Seeking to meet CPA exam sit-eligibility requirements.

What’s in it for you:

  • Hands-on experience across tax and audit.
  • Meaningful work and real client exposure.
  • Direct access to mentors, managers, and firm leaders invested in your growth.
  • A collaborative, people-centered culture that values learning, curiosity, and connection.
  • Consideration for future internship and full-time opportunities upon successful completion of your internship.
