Clearance: Secret with Top Secret eligibility

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:30 PM

We are seeking a mission-focused and technically capable Mid-Level Network Administrator to support a Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity program. In this role, you'll assist with managing and securing network infrastructure in a classified, high-assurance environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with network hardware, strong troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative mindset, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily administration and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues promptly
  • Support implementation of network security configurations and policies in alignment with DoD cybersecurity frameworks
  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts using tools such as ACAS
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and contribute to Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration baselines, and asset inventories
  • Assist in incident response activities by collecting and analyzing network data
  • Work closely with senior network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and systems teams on RMF-aligned initiatives
  • Participate in formal change management processes for planned network updates and implementations

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
  • DoD 8470/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration in a DoD or large-scale IT environment
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting of Juniper and Cisco routing, and switching
  • Hands-on experience with: Juniper and Cisco networking equipment, Routing protocols: BGP and OSPF, Switching, VLAN configuration, VMware networking components, firewall administration and rule management
  • Familiarity with RMF processes, STIGs, and system hardening practices
  • Proficiency with common troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation habits, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a mission-oriented technical team
