Work Environment

This position requires onsite work within our patients' homes throughout San Diego County. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to each patient's care. The work setting emphasizes flexibility, where you will conduct one-on-one therapy sessions that promote a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for client recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their physical needs and challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address patients' functional goals, taking into account their medical history and lifestyle.
• Administer cost-effective treatment modalities aimed at improving the range of motion, strength, balance, and mobility.
• Maintain an optimal patient load, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure focused and individualized care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy process, fostering a positive and engaged rehabilitation experience.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques including manual therapy and exercise prescription, adapting approaches to meet patients' changing needs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor progress and modify treatment plans as required.
• Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately within electronic medical records, utilizing systems such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our home care services cater primarily to individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related mobility issues. The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse client base, including the elderly, and patients involved in sports or active lifestyles. Your work will directly impact their ability to engage in daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) is preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• No record of disciplinary actions on your physical therapy license.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing tailored exercise programs for patients of varying abilities.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to facilitate effective patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 75,000 – 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, the role includes a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your financial, health, and work-life balance:
