Work Environment

Working onsite within our cutting-edge surgical center in San Antonio, Texas, you will be part of a collaborative healthcare environment that operates Monday through Friday, requiring 40 hours per week starting at 5:00 PM. This structure allows our team to provide consistent care during peak hours while fostering personal and professional growth among staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and meticulously review medical records to ensure accurate diagnosis.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including clinical blood tests and radiological imaging, to establish care pathways.
• Diagnose and treat a range of acute health conditions, such as respiratory infections, injuries, and minor surgeries, ensuring timely intervention.
• Develop tailored treatment plans for chronic diseases while considering patient history and preferences.
• Prescribe necessary medications and closely monitor patient responses to assess their effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date patient records and manage schedules to optimize care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness practices.
• Encourage and promote healthy lifestyle choices as part of our patient engagement initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and research activities, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physician Assistant will engage with a diverse patient population in San Antonio, ranging from children to elderly individuals facing acute health challenges or requiring urgent care services. The role requires empathy and effective communication to ensure comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of Texas.
• DEA registration is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience as a PA in a clinic, hospital, ER, or urgent care setting.
• Extensive knowledge of primary care and urgent care practices.
• Familiarity with health regulations and standards of patient care.

Additional skills include strong communication abilities, ethical commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, composure under pressure, and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a high-volume urgent care or emergency department setting.
• Previous roles emphasizing patient education and preventive care.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus, enhancing communication with a broader community.

Compensation and Benefits

Phoenix Advanced Medical Centre offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 – 180,000 per year, along with an attractive sign-on bonus. Comprehensive benefits include:
