What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced Journeyman Alarm Technician to service, install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain intrusion, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and life safety systems throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Required Qualifications

• Oregon LEA License
• Washington EL06 License
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of journeyman-level experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Experience with commercial and residential security systems
• Experience with fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems
• Clean driving record
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

• $44.00–$46.50 per hour depending on experience
• Technicians who successfully complete their probationary period, training requirements, and demonstrate proficiency will advance to $46.50 per hour
• Transparent pay structure with clearly defined opportunities for advancement
• Opportunities to advance into our highest-tier technical roles, with compensation approaching $60 per hour

What You'll Do

• Work primarily within the Portland metropolitan area—approximately 99% of our projects and service calls are local, and roughly 90% of our work is performed during normal business hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), allowing you to be home with your family almost every night
• Install and troubleshoot and service fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems
• Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and solve complex technical issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
• Build trust and confidence with customers
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and support staff
• Represent Phillips Alarm with professionalism, integrity, and pride
