Manufacturing Engineer II Job Introduction

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the technical management and development of existing product lines.

Role Responsibility

The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary

Analyze and design manufacturing cells that conform to Lean Manufacturing standards

Maintain and improve technical procedures for the manufacturing processes

Maintain and improve statistical process controls

Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process.

Work collaboratively with Design and Purchasing team to improve existing products

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP); Support all current and new product introduction

Utilize production metrics to identify waste and areas for continuous improvement (Pass rate, Scrap, Throughput)

Utilize statistical analysis to make data driven decisions

Ensure all manufacturing safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times

Stay informed concerning new manufacturing technologies and

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Five to Ten years previous manufacturing engineering experience required

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred

VSM / PDSA experience preferred

Strong problem-solving capabilities

Knowledge of machining and materials, preferred

Secondary process knowledge, preferred

Robust knowledge or manufacturing standards

Strong Blueprint knowledge

Hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Process-oriented mentality

Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or six sigma methodology

Proficient with the Microsoft Suite Software
