Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients to determine their mental health needs and develop suitable treatment plans.
• Engage clients in individualized, family, marriage, and group counseling sessions, adapting your approach to meet specific requirements.
• Perform thorough mental health screenings that help identify underlying challenges and inform the treatment process.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with clients, actively listening to their experiences and goals.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement customized treatment strategies that align with their personal circumstances and objectives.
• Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care.
• Contribute to team discussions and engage in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and innovative approaches in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve at Personal Growth Counseling come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. You will work with individuals grappling with an array of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Your capacity to develop rapport with clients from diverse communities will be crucial in successfully navigating their unique challenges and ultimately driving positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Social Work (LICSW) is essential.
• Active, unrestricted license in Washington State as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Social Worker (LICSW).
• Demonstrated knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and current trends in mental health practices.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience providing mental health counseling, including work with individuals facing behavioral health challenges and co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with group therapy settings and an understanding of substance abuse treatment approaches that complement therapeutic methods.
• Proven ability to develop effective, individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of $100,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
