Overview

Peralta LLC is a new provider of I/DD Diversion services in Spokane County. We are seeking dedicated, strong, and compassionate Crisis Stabilization Professionals / CBTs to provide immediate behavioral health support and stabilization for adults with developmental disabilities who experience high-intensity and challenging behavioral health crises.

This role combines hands-on support, safety oversight, and behavioral intervention to help adults manage crises, develop coping skills, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. This is a clinical, intervention-focused position, not a custodial or supervisory role. You will be working in a fast-paced setting delivering evidence-based interventions, coordinating care, and supporting clients through their stabilization process.

This is a demanding but highly rewarding position for professionals who are confident, resilient, and committed to client-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.

SHIFTS

  • Day Shift 7am-3pm
  • Swing Shift 3pm-11pm
  • Grave Shift 11pm-7am

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine immediate needs and develop individualized crisis intervention plans.
  • Implement functional assessment/ positive behavioral support plans (fa/pbsp's)
  • Provide crisis management and stabilization services utilizing techniques such as applied behavioral analysis therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy.
  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions focused on trauma, grief, PTSD, addiction, or developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate care, including documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and accurate medical records management.
  • Assist with triage processes to prioritize cases based on severity and urgency.
  • Collect data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes for ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate intake procedures and facilitate transitions to appropriate inpatient services as needed.
  • Support patients with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual, and developmental disabilities through tailored behavioral management strategies.
  • Engage in case management activities, including home and community care coordination, ensuring comprehensive support for clients across settings.
  • Provide direct support to adults during crisis situations and daily routines.

Skills

  • Proven experience in behavior modification, clinical counseling within behavioral health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches such as PTSD care, grief counseling.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments accurately using medical terminology and data collection software.
  • Excellent data collection skills for tracking treatment progress and research purposes.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation practices while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
  • Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and group/ social skills building and interaction is preferred. Preferred Qualifications (preferred but not required – we can assist with obtaining).

  • NAR, HCA, or CNA license.
  • 40-Hour CORE / 75-Hour Certificate.
  • Nurse Delegation (CORE / NAR).
  • CPR Certification
  • Food Handler’s Permit.
  • 40-hour certified Technician Training / RBT Training (preferred)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human services phycology, social work, behavioral health or related field (preferred).
  • MANDT Training
  • Community Protection Training
  • Certified Behavior Therapist (CBT)
  • Supervision experience under a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (required).
  • Open Availability is a must
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Experience working with individuals who exhibit high-risk or challenging behaviors (required).
  • Ability to remain calm, firm, and professional in high-stress or crisis situations.
  • Valid Driver’s License (required).
  • Open availability, including weekends.
  • Strong ability to follow written plans and implement behavior strategies consistently.
  • Physical ability to assist adults safely and respond to crises.
  • Background check clearance (criminal history, adult/ child abuse registry)
  • Background in crisis intervention, behavior support, or stabilization services.
