Job description

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Peer Support Specialist to join our team. This is a non-clinical support role focused on connection, encouragement, and lived experience. You will work directly with adults who are facing challenges related to mental health, recovery, motivation, and daily life stability.

What you will do

  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance using your lived experience to empower clients.

    Help clients build coping skills, set goals, and navigate daily challenges.

  • Support clients during emotional or difficult moments and help them stay engaged in services.

  • Assist clients with connecting to community resources and services.

  • Document client progress and interactions clearly and accurately.

  • Work collaboratively with case managers, social workers, and program teams.

  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to strengthen skills.

    What we’re looking for

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Lived experience with mental health, recovery, or similar challenges (highly valued).

    • Strong communication and active listening skills.

    • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.

    • Comfort working with adults facing emotional, behavioral, or motivational challenges.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
