Peach Tree Village Assisted Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our amazing team. The Maintenance Assistant position will coordinate with the Plant Operations Team and Elder Services Coordinator.Peach Tree Village Assisted Living and Memory Care is a senior community located in Brandon, MS. This individual will wear many hats and often pulled in multiple directions. The ideal candidate for this position includes someone with experience painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, floor care, lawn care and assisting with moving furniture. This role is ideal for a maintenance person who takes initiative and understands that each day brings different maintenance needs.This maintenance position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, and welcoming environment for our elders and guests. If you enjoy hands-on work and appreciate that no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for:Performing general building maintenance and repairsKeeping exterior of property clean and organizedAddressing maintenance needs as seen throughout the communityChanging light bulbs, including working from a ladder when necessaryCompleting painting projects as neededAssisting elders with basic maintenance-related requestsAssisting elders move furniture in and out of community as requestedCompleting other duties as assigned by the DirectorAssist with transporting elders to appointments and outings as requestedQualificationsBasic painting experience requiredBasic plumbing knowledgeBasic electrical knowledgeAbility to safely use ladders and maintenance equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to work independently and manage changing prioritiesReliable, punctual, and team-orientedExperience in maintenance, senior living, apartment communities, or related fields is preferred but not requiredValid Driver LicenseIf you are looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of elders while utilizing your maintenance skills, we encourage you to apply today!Must be able to pass a background check.
