Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Pawtucket Falls Healthcare Center is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant who will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy treatments, assist with resident rehabilitation plans, and support the overall therapy department. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent care.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Rhode Island

  • Current CPR certification (preferred)

  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising PT

  • Assist with implementing individualized care plans

  • Document resident progress accurately and in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members

  • Support residents in achieving functional goals

  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions
