Work Environment

The position is based in Leesburg, Virginia, a community known for its vibrant history and beautiful landscapes. The work setting is primarily onsite in patients' homes, allowing you to work closely with individuals in need of orthopedic rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, assessing patient history and physical condition, and determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies effectively with patients and their families, ensuring they are involved in the goal-setting process.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols while constantly adapting to the patient's evolving condition and the latest healthcare practices.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and identify necessary modifications to treatment plans.
• Manage discharge planning effectively, providing detailed documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and discharge evaluations.
• Maintain high productivity through effective time management and punctuality, ensuring an accurate patient schedule and attendance at all required meetings.
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals while adhering to all regulatory standards and compliance guidelines.
• Engage in professional growth by pursuing continuing education opportunities and serving as a clinical instructor for students.
• Ensure an excellent customer experience by adapting to patients' needs and actively working to remove barriers to care access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an orthopedic physical therapist at Patient Plus Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse range of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role is to empower these individuals in their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain mobility, strength, and overall function to enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting focused on orthopedic care.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience are required, candidates with experience in homecare or outpatient therapy settings are preferred. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation of patient progress and treatment plans is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
