We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:Sport Coaches will lead and deliver the facility's youth and adult pickleball programs, including, but not limited to, leagues, developmental classes, after-school and homeschool programs, clinics, camps, private and semi-private training sessions, and birthday parties.The Sports Coach is responsible for coaching and developing athletes of varying ages and skill levels, with a primary focus on pickleball fundamentals, technique, strategy, rules, sportsmanship, and game play. This role involves designing and implementing engaging training programs, providing clear instruction and individualized feedback, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment for athletes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:Teach pickleball skills, tactics, and techniques to a wide range of athletes in individual and group settingsDevelop and implement structured training programs to enhance athletes' skills, fitness, and game strategiesMonitor, evaluate, and enhance athlete performance and progressProvide appropriate feedback through positivity, encouragement, leading by example, and motivationDemonstrate activities clearly by breaking down skills and techniques into sequential stepsPromote discipline, respect, and sportsmanship in all team activitiesMaintain a friendly and courteous approach with athletes, parents, and facility team membersIdentify athlete strengths and areas for developmentEnsure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all athletesStay current with the latest coaching techniques, sports science, and industry best practicesPerform all additional duties as assigned by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Coaching licenses (or active pursuit of) preferredAt least 2 years of appropriate coaching/teaching sport in youth programs for athletes of various aptitudesMust have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skillsMust be a team playerMust have excellent leadership and motivational skillsMust be willing to work a flexible schedule, predominately after-school and weekendsMust possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified periodNeat in appearance and professional in mannerStrong knowledge of sports coach rules, techniques, and strategiesStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesPassion for sports and athlete developmentWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist highMust be able to move or lift lightweight equipmentPosition requires standing and activity for extended periods of time (indoors or outdoors), squatting, stooping, jogging, or bending into awkward positions while performing job functions
