JOB DESCRIPTION

General Manager

Reports to: Area Director / VP of Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt (Salaried)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

At Party Fowl, we bring the heat—and the hospitality. As Nashville’s first full-service hot chicken restaurant, we’re proud to serve up chef-driven Southern food, handcrafted cocktails, and a guest experience that’s as bold as our flavors.

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced General Manager to lead one of our restaurants. This individual is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations, including team leadership, guest satisfaction, financial performance, compliance, and brand execution. The GM is the culture-setter, people-developer, and standard-bearer of everything we stand for.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing front and back-of-house team.
  • Build a strong management bench (AGMs, Kitchen Managers, Service Managers, etc.).
  • Create a positive, accountable, and high-energy workplace culture.
  • Set and communicate clear performance expectations; conduct regular evaluations.

Guest Experience & Service Execution

  • Ensure a consistent, memorable, and high-quality dining experience.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback via surveys, reviews, and in-person interactions.
  • Lead by example with hands-on floor presence during peak periods.

Operational & Financial Performance

  • Manage all restaurant-level P&L activity, including labor, COGS, and controllables.
  • Set and achieve financial targets in partnership with area and corporate leadership.
  • Approve and manage scheduling to meet labor budgets and service standards.
  • Oversee food and beverage inventory, ordering, and waste control.
  • Ensure all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards are met or exceeded.

 Brand & Business Growth

  • Execute local marketing and community engagement strategies.
  • Ensure team compliance with Party Fowl brand standards, training, and policies.
  • Partner with the home office on new initiatives, rollouts, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Proven track record of leadership, people development, and financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and labor law compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; guest- and team-focused attitude.
  • Tech-savvy with experience in POS systems, scheduling software, and financial tools.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus opportunities. Compensation may vary depending on the level of experience of the candidate.
  • Schedule: Must have open availability and be accessible for urgent operational needs.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires long periods of standing and walking in a fast-paced environment, as well as occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Weekend, night, and holiday availability is required.

Party Fowl is an Equal Opportunity Employer

We believe in fostering a workplace that celebrates individuality, drives performance, and delivers unforgettable guest experiences.

    ABOUT THE COMPANY

NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN. BOOZY SLUSHIES. GOOD TIMES.

Party Fowl serves up hot chicken, boozy slushies, local brews, and southern hospitality in a setting that’s made for letting loose. With locations in the heart of Nashville, Donelson, and now inside Nashville International Airport (BNA), we’re all about celebrating the spirit of Music City—one bite, sip, and toast at a time. Our menu puts a bold spin on the classics, with heat levels ranging from southern-friendly to seriously unhinged (looking at you, Poultrygeist). Whether you’re here for brunch, the big game, or just a round with friends, you’ll find wall-to-wall TVs, full service, and a vibe that’s never boring. Now under new ownership, Party Fowl is expanding into a lifestyle brand rooted in good food, strong drinks, and unapologetic fun. We’re here to keep Nashville hot, one celebration at a time.
