Job Title: Clamp Forklift Operator

Job Summary:
The Clamp Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a clamp truck (clamp forklift) to move, load, unload, stack, and transport products within a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility. This role requires experience handling delicate or non-palletized materials such as paper rolls, appliances, beverages, and other products using specialized clamp attachments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate a clamp forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trailers, trucks, and containers using clamp attachments.
  • Move, stack, store, and retrieve products while minimizing product damage.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and complete pre-shift safety checklists.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and product damage to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by following warehouse procedures and scanning systems.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including staging, wrapping, sorting, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage during transport and storage.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and attendance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous clamp forklift operating experience required.
  • Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and inventory tracking skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment.
  • Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and warehouse traffic.
  • May require overtime, weekends, and flexible scheduling based on business needs.

Pay Range:
Varies by location and experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling paper rolls, appliances, beverage products, or other clamp-handled materials.
  • RF scanner experience.
  • Strong attention to safety and product quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
