Job description

Palm Springs Ford in Cathedral City, CA is looking for a Brake and Front End Technician to inspect, repair, and overhaul brake systems and front end components across a range of customer vehicles. This role works within quality and time standards set by the dealership and manufacturer, and requires hands-on precision across brake system work, steering, suspension, and related assemblies. What You'll Do
  • Inspect, repair, and overhaul brake systems per repair order specifications — including pad and shoe replacement, drum measurement, cylinder repair or replacement, and brake line leak detection
  • Service front end components including steering, suspension, and wheel bearing assemblies
  • Remove and reinstall wheels, adjust drum shoe clearance, and maintain proper brake fluid levels
  • Test-drive vehicles after service to verify the quality of completed repairs
  • Operate all shop tools and equipment safely and in accordance with dealership procedures
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing service operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA requirements
  • Attend manufacturer product training as required and stay current on service procedures and specifications
  • Complete additional duties as directed by service management

What We're Looking For
  • Prior brake and front end technician experience required
  • Ford or manufacturer product training preferred; willingness to complete required training
  • Dealership service experience
  • Ability to operate diagnostic and service equipment safely
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
