About the Role

Packaging Exchange is a packaging and distribution company with 25 locations and 400+ employees across North America. NetSuite supports our core operations, including fulfillment, procurement, inventory, and financials. We're looking for a NetSuite Administrator to own day-to-day administration of the system, serving as the first point of contact for issues, maintaining a clean and well documented configuration, and being the bridge between the teams who use NetSuite and the partners who support our customizations and integrations.

We hire for problem-solving ability, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability with a customer centric focus. We need someone who understands how a wholesale distribution business runs — order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management — and can turn that knowledge into solid NetSuite configuration. This is primarily a functional role; scripting or development is not required, but you should be comfortable reading it.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•         Own our internal NetSuite support queue and serve as first point of contact for NetSuite requests, with coverage during Eastern business hours.

•         Monitor system performance and data integrity, making sure customizations coexist without reliability issues.

•         Manage NetSuite roles and user access as business needs change.

•         Build and maintain saved searches, reports, and alerts for leadership, operations, customer service, procurement, and finance teams.

•         Run CSV imports for price updates, new customer setup, and other bulk data changes.

•         Manage and troubleshoot integrations with third party systems (EDI, TMS, etc) and coordinate any configuration changes with our partners.

•         Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and release validation ahead of production updates.

•         Document NetSuite customizations, configurations, and workflows to build institutional knowledge.

•         Work with Finance to understand how transactions flow through the general ledger and how that affects configuration decisions.

•         Use NetSuite's MCP AI Connector Service, to resolve requests and spot new opportunities to apply AI responsibly within NetSuite and adjacent systems.

•         Support cross-functional NetSuite related business process improvement projects

·         Work daily with customer service, operations, warehouse teams – not confined to a back-office queue.

·         Help support decisions on new tools and integrations as our NetSuite footprint grows.

Requirements & Qualifications

•         3+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience in an inventory focused wholesale distribution environment.

•         Solid understanding of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and inventory management (including cycle/smart counts) as they run through NetSuite.

•         Experience with NetSuite roles/permissions, custom fields, saved searches, and workflow troubleshooting.

•         Experience with understanding scripts, deployments, workflows, and third party integrations; scripting/development is not required.

•         Working knowledge of the general ledger and how different transaction types affect it.

•         Strong communication and customer-service skills — able to translate non-technical requests into system requirements.

preferred qualifications

•         5+ years of NetSuite administration experience.

•         NetSuite Certified Administrator credential.

•         Experience with EDI, shipping, or transportation management systems (e.g., SPS Commerce, Pacejet, OnDemand, or similar).

•         Exposure to warehouse management systems (e.g., RFsmart, NetSuite WMS, or similar).

•         Exposure to NetSuite MRP or supply/demand planning.

•         Experience with the NetSuite MCP AI Connector.

•         Experience with a NetSuite-integrated commerce platform (SuiteCommerce or similar).

Physical requirements

•         Occasional travel (estimated at 10%) to company locations.

•         Remote position – candidates must reside in states where Packaging Exchange is authorized to employ staff.

•         Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods and ability to read computer screens and documents
